Tina Charles out with Back Spasms.

LV trying to squander a 16 point 4th quarter lead. Was down to 8 a minute ago, now 78-68 w/ 1:54 left.

New York played in L.A. last night and took the bus to Vegas, arriving at 2:30 AM. Lo and behold, they decided to play.

N.Y. got down by 24, but fought back to single-digits at least twice. Vegas is up by 13 with 1 minute left.

KMac has 15 points, all in the 4th quarter.

5 quick points by McBride pushes it to 83-70 1:07 left.

Props to NY for fighting back while missing their best player. Nurse and Hartley are leading the way w/ 14 each.

LV shooting over 50% overall but a dreadful 3-16 behind the arc.

85-72 final. Jefferson played 22 minutes, 8 points on 4-8 shooting 3 reb. 3 assists. Plum played 31 minutes, 11 points on 5-11 (0-4 behind the arc) 6 rebs. 2 assists. 0 TO's for Plum and only 1 for Jefferson. Almost looks like platooning again. Maybe with the big lead LV tried to rest some starters and then had to put them back in again.

I see that Tina sat out with back spasms. But what about Shavonte Zellous, Amanda Zahui B. and Epiphanny Prince, who also didn't play? Were they all "injured"?

Any more insights than the terse few words that the WNBA put in its press release?

Fairfield, Zellous and Prince have been nursing leg/ankle injuries for a couple of weeks. Zahui B has a hip injury that occurred recently. She has missed at least two games.
