"I told him, 'This is going to be like "Tin Cup." … I'm just going to keep teeing the ball up and trying to hit it over the river,'" Diaco said. "'So, dude, get your mind right and let's go do it.'"
Diaco's assessment?
"He executed the plays and ran the offense and threw a few nice balls," Diaco said.
Hartford Courant-

So you need to love golf too???????
Maybe he should reference something with more accuracy, like darts...

Stupid analogy but compared to most of the nonsense he spews it wasn't too bad. At least he didn't say he owned the offense like he did after watching Boyle throw 21 passes for 70 yards and lose 41-0

Maybe we are looking at this wrong because BD is a handsome dude. If this stuff was coming out of Yogi Berra's face maybe it would sound better.

Boyle was born in 94, Tin Cup came out in 96. Tim was probably like... What on earth is coach talking about?!

First, it wasn't a river, it was a pond in front of the green on the par five.

Second, he was hitting out of the fairway, going for the green in two. You do not tee the ball up on your second shot.

Except for that, Diaco got it perfect.
