Just have to wipe these two games off the mat and learn from them.
We need to play to our team's strength which is depth and length.
Right now we have some fundamental challenges. This team has to go back to older roots and play a full court press and trap game. We need energy we need to utilize the length we have and we need a sense of urgency.
Right now Im in agreement that we are getting away from some Calhoun/Uconn fundamentals. Were not using timely TO's the fundamental aspects of the game is not there on either end right now.
We take bad shots and right now the guys are not playing with confidence. The way OUT of this is to SPEED the game up by playing 10 guys and press and trap 40 minutes.
Teams have the blueprint against us. Play smart play methodical and we havent adjusted to it.
The best we've played in the last two games is under duress. And when you play under the gun--even the smallest thing that doesnt go your way down 7 with 2 minutes and you lose.
I hope we can see the path--play the hand we have or we may really slip back this year. I for one want to steady the ship--go game by game and improve. But after two home losses like this--we need a change in philosophy with the guys we have now.
