Tim Willman has big shoes to fill

I think the DL will be OK. Along with Willman and Joseph I have to believe Norris and Frank will be in the rotation. On the interior we look very solid with Stephen, Campeni and Pruit in the mix. I think the big question for the defense is the secondary, especially in Adams is banged up and Mack or one of the younger guys has to step up at the other corner.

I really think we'll be okay in the secondary. Mack and Byron have had a lot of time on the field, despite having future NFL CBs ahead of them their entire career. Jones was moved to safety, and Mack never got his redshirt because the coaches wanted these guys on the field, which shows me they see a lot in them. Stevenson's had some really great plays too. Beyond that we have some young guys that I think will provide some great depth. Even though we're replacing mid-high round NFL draftees at every level of the defense, I think we're going to have another great defense this year. If we can put together a pedestrian offense we should be in the top 2 or 3 AAC, with a chance to earn the BCS birth considering we get Louisville at home.

Tim is under rated ! The few chances he has had he gets in to the back field. He also seems adept at stopping the run. Expect a jj watt type year from him this year!

Now that would be something!:)

We lost some guys, but we are deeper I think at every position. LB's are just great.

Tim doesn't have to fill those shoes alone. He is part of a rotation at DE. If we can keep the line fresh, there are a lot of guys who can contribute this year.

Tim has proven to be a class act during his time at UConn. He has done a tremendous job of representing the university. If he is able to take advantage of the opportunity before him, he could be this year's Ryan Wirth.
