I'm mostly just trying to rile people up.
Don't think I've ever seen a QB have more passes dropped by his wrs than Boyle.

Gotta work on that relentless optimism. This post sucks even worse than this game did.
Hey...I said the post sucks. And the game sucked. I love the team.Gotta work on that relentless optimism.
Chief00 said:Boyle is by far the better QB. True, the receivers drop his ball because they are not used to a top notch arm. Having said that he threw some passes with good touch. Number 88 the coaches are high on but he does nothing but drop balls while we ignore two servicable TE's.
Shireff's has been exposed as basically just a runner - he does not do the basic progressions QBs at this level must do.
The scary part of this is that "Shirreffs had his worst game of the year" and his running was our biggest offensive threat today. Doesn't say much about our offensive weapons.Shirreffs had his worst game of the year tonight and even considering that, hell no.
Its crazy, but I think we could see a Boyle 2nd half if we find ourselves down by three scores at 1/2 time at any remaining game this year. I thought Sherriffs was the guy - but the more I watch, the more I am concerned his lack of arm strength makes him gun shy - rightfully so.
Its his first year as a starting QB, gotta give it time. I am concerned for any Qb's safety behind this oline that could make any qb gun shy.
Yeah, I'm giving time. Sherriffs had me state he's the best QB UConn has in years after the first three games....but his growth has stalled the past 4 weeks. I'm most concerned about two things; poor throws down field (judgement, lack of power and accuracy) and a lack of touch on screen passes. The screen plays are worthless if the receiver is unable to catch the ball with ease.
...It's garbage time, sure, but this is our best drive of game that wasn't all QB runs or Cincy penalties. Shireffs has been turnover prone lately, I can't believe I'm saying it but should Boyle get a chance?
