Tight Ends

I cannot understand, no matter the coach at UConn, how the tight end position goes completely ignored as a passing option and has turned into a pulling guard only.
Even Wagner knows how to best utilize that position
I sit there an just shake my head - there are so many occasions where that option could be used
I am not a football genius but can someone, beyond calling the coaches buffoons (which in most cases they are), explain why UConn is anti-TE

It’s game 1.... lack of experience at QB... playbook yet to be expanded.

That being said would love to see Rose get some touches vs Illinois and Indiana. Hopefully we can spread the ball around more.
