Wow! Is such a negative comment really called for?

Is your suggested evaluation meant to "get a better picture of her value" to the team?

To be fair, shouldn't your suggestion be applied to each member of the team? (In order to get a better picture of the value of each player to the team, of course.)

Or is fairness a non-issue?

It's someone's opinion. Yours is no more or less valid, even if it is chippier.

She had a negative assist to turnover ration, but she did have 4 steals. She just needed a stronger second half of scoring. I was concerned and commented on the game thread that it was dangerous that Hayes and Dolson were responsible for so much of the scoring as it could be hard for them to maintain the rest of the game.

I really don't know what you're talking about. Tiffany Hayes has, while playing as the third guard in the starting lineup, a 1.4 A/TO for the year. She's averaging almost as many steals as turnovers.

Tiffany had a terrrific first half and then Muffit McGraw did what she and all great coaches do "shut her down". If Tiffany and Stefanie had any help from any of their teammates we would have won. That did not happen. As long as UConn plays 4 on 5 on the offensive end and last night at some times 3 on 5 they will never beat a qualty team. The quality teams have exposed UConn. I saw the fire in Tiffany's eyes last night and as I felt during senior night, she really wanted to win. Unfortunately for her, the teammates surrounding her do not have the same urgency. I believe that Tiffany will score 20 points a night for the remainer of the games. In my book she is an all-American and the only thing stopping that is her teammates. SHOOT THE BALL!

I'm not sure that saying that you have only slightly more TOs than steals is a real strong argument, especially for a senior guard.

Edited: I take that back. I looked at other guards and MOST have an equal or greater number of TOs than steals. This makes me proud of Sims, who is +10 on the steals side. Diggins is even at 77 on each side and Hartley is -18.
