Congrats to Tiff. She had 21 tonight, including a key 3-pointer and 2 FTs late, as Atlanta rallied to beat Las Vegas. The Dream have won 11 of 12.

How many 2nd round picks from 2012 are still in the league?

The answer to your question is TWO. The other player is Riquna Williams now with the L.A. Sparks (still ballin hard by the way).

Here's the 2nd round of the 2012 WNBA draft:

13. Los Angeles Sparks (from Tulsa Shock): Farhiya Abdi (Sweden)
14. Atlanta Dream (from Washington Mystics): Tiffany Hayes (Connecticut)
15. Los Angeles Sparks (from Chicago Sky): Khadijah Rushdan (Rutgers)
16. Los Angeles Sparks: Tyra White (Texas A&M)
17. Tulsa Shock (from San Antonio Silver Stars): Riquna Williams (Miami (Fla.))
18. Minnesota Lynx (from Phoenix Mercury): Julie Wojta (Wisconsin-Green Bay)
19. Minnesota Lynx (from New York Liberty): Kayla Standish (Gonzaga)
20. Minnesota Lynx (from Atlanta Dream): Nika Baric (Slovenia)
21. Connecticut Sun: Chay Shegog (North Carolina)
22. Seattle Storm: Keisha Hampton (DePaul)
23. Chicago Sky (from Indiana Fever): Shey Peddy (Temple)
24. Phoenix Mercury (from Minnesota Lynx): C’eira Ricketts (Arkansas)

Thanks! Keisha Hampton played some in 2016 and 2017. I think most of those players never made a roster. Tiff is not just on a roster, she’s starring on a good team and in the top 12 in scoring, about even with Maya.

Most of the top half of the 2012 first round is still playing:

1. N. Ogwumike
2. S. Stricklen
3. D. Peters (is she back?)
4. G. Johnson
5. S. Johnson
12. D. Dantas

These players are gone: Prahalis, Kain, Novosel, Dabo, Barrett, and Goodlett.

Nneka is obviously the standout, as often happens with the #1 overall pick. But Tiff is arguably the 2nd best player in that draft based on her W career.

Saw Tiffany play against the Sky last Friday. When she gets back to the bench she is totally worn out. Very obviously the hardest working player on either team...

Since they let her off the all star team, they should put her on the WNBA all first team.

Yes, Peters is back. She's with Phoenix.
