...scores 23 points, 3/4 on 3's and 6 boards in an Atlanta win.
IMO one of the "skills" taught at by Geno, CD and staff at UConn is mental toughness...players who graduate to the WNBA have an ability to get through minor injuries, team losing streaks, reduced playing time, bad officiating, etc w/out losing focus & having their basketball talent impacted.... Many had to "wait for their turn" to be stars in college and it helps younger players be patient in the WNBA, to enjoy being a support player until it is their time to shine.. Maybe this explains why so many UConn grads are still playing in the WNBA after their "peers" are gone....
Don't know how they learned to cope with losing streaks at UConn.
There have been a number of one-game losing streaks. Well, a few, anyway.Don't know how they learned to cope with losing streaks at UConn.
Assume you're kidding, 'cause I said they learn "mental toughness" at UConn which helps them deal w/ things in the WNBA like losing streaks, etc... Agree the only streaks at UConn are looooooong winnnnnnning streaks...just curious, did you not agree Geno's players learn mental toughness?
