I just bought a ticket directly from the ticket staff of the school.

All seats are general admission, even for season's ticket holders. But if you buy a season's ticket at $71.00 (including mailing) you can set inside about an hour earlier than single game ticket-holders.

The pleasant agent, Nick Spring, told me that a lot of UConn fans have benn buying season's tickets. He has a direct number, (775) 327-5009.

For the closest hotels, he recommended the El Dorado or the Silver Legacy. But he liked the Grand Sierra best. It is about 5 miles away.

You don't have to have them mailed to you. You can get a ticket printed there...I'm willing to pay a few dollars to satisfy my paranoia.

Booked at Circus Circus. Needed two rooms as our daughter refuses to stay in the same room with her old fuddy duddy parents. A rental car means distance to the arena isn't a problem.

Over $200 for three tickets? I think we'll take our chances with general admission.

Cost of the trip from Las Vegas is already over $500.

See you there.

That's where I am. 65.00 after taxes and fees.
Approx 1/2 mile from the venue.

I usually stay at the Nugget in Sparks
Decent Casino hotel, good prices, 5 minutes from Reno.
Often food specials.

I wouldn't bother with the season pass; good seats will be available.
Lots and lots of inexpensive dining options, often change week to week;
Baldini's has all-day breakfast, all-you can eat specials at very modest prices.

We were there (Reno) two years ago Feb-mid March when there was no snow in the East so we stayed in Reno (Sparks), and drove up to Squaw Valley (where there was plenty of snow) for the day.
Boomtown Casino (10 minutes down the road towards Tahoe) also has a few cheap all-you can eat specials.

Sorry that all I have first-hand knowledge of is the more modest spots, we were there for a long time and had to economize...still we had a blast.

Oh, the Wok on Silverado Blvd is a decent Chinese Buffet...lots of seafood

We were in Reno 3 years ago for a youth softball tournament. Tournament headquarters was at the Silver Legacy Hotel. Most of the games we attended were in Sparks. Lots of nice places around town to eat. I've also attend several basketball games at the Lawlor Events Center. It's a very nice venue. Not a bad seat in the arena. We walked to and from our hotel (the Silver Legacy) to the arena (about 6-7 blocks).

Lots of entertainment (stage shows/gambling etc.) to be sure in Reno. Reno bills itself as "the biggest little city in the world". Anyone attending this game should enjoy the trip. Great food, great entertainment, plus you get to see the UConn women at their finest. There's no way they're going to lose this game. Nevada has a young team. Eight of their fourteen players are freshmen or sophomores (11-19 last year). That's a win- win - win!!
