UConn does not defend the 3 very well. OSU put up 30 three pointers (hit 9 and missed a lot of open looks). DePaul (#19) put up 48 three pointers last game. Hopefully our defense in that area improves by that game.
Ohio had 4 and 5 on the boards all the time. Until the Second half, late, Uconn allowed Olivia be the rebounder. Once they hit the boards the game changed. That help on the 2nd chance points--and OF Course you are correct that was a bigger problem
Ohio or any team (even DePaul) taking 48 3's is not a failure of defense. If they hit 50 percent of them--then blame the defense. Ohio was defended well on the 3 line and foul line. It's not how many you take it's how many you make.
