Good win no matter……..worked their butts off……

Phil Nolan may have had the biggest play - the charge vs Kilpatrick. Funny I just said "why isn't Brimah in to protect the basket" and followed it up quickly with "Thank God KO left Phil in…" LOL….nice play by PN

The defense was there for basically 40 minutes, they worked their tails off on that end like never before. They made them work for everything and even though they were out rebounded many of those were long or tipped boards which were never gathered in cleanly.

Both teams are so similar………Kilpatrick and Bazz need to be the go-to guys and when they're off too may guys struggle to find their rhythm……I think we have more weapons than them in that situation honestly but none are stepping up at this time. DD is struggling, Kromah and Giff can't do much off the dribble.

I saw 2 things we may need to see more of though…….the first set of each half was go to Brimah for a nice jump hook. The first one of the game was sweet but rolled off, the 2nd he made a sweet move and dropped it home. May need to see more no? Also the set up of Giffey after the Cincy guys chased Bazz around under the baseline picks, when Giffs guy followed Bazz he released for an open 3…..that was nice and because of the way teams will play them there needs to be more of that also!

Shoot the ball……the last few games ALL of our guys are giving up good looks from the perimeter for ball fakes and takes, which usually lead to trouble as of late. Boat and Bazz, mostly him today, need to take open looks because the ball fake and drive has them shooting their worst of the year as of late. Let's shoot it and go after it. Better than TO's…….

Get on the floor……I have begged Boat to hit the floor and man did he. Good results from diving rather than bending and he was great today - big kudos' to him for his effort.

Terrence - the kid is showing some nice maturity. Great baseline drive and hoop - super steal again and almost converted the lay in but he plays hard. Threw a nice alleyoop to AB when he got fouled which was a nice choice off the press…….he could be a real good one.

Just win…………next is RU, same effort on D and work on some things on O get get to 23-6 and then leave it all on the floor in LVille………lots of basketball left and now it's fun time!

agree with pretty much all, especially Bazz's hesitancy to shoot. Cincy played good D on him but he had plenty of opportunities to take the first open look but would turn them down and play too conservatively, be aggressive.

We also beat a ranked team without contributions from DD and OC. Not a knock on them but just to emphasize, they both were starters this year. This proves we have a real 'team', able to overcome adversity and the times when players are having off games.

This win was huge in respect to evaluating what we have in March. I like what I saw.

Shabazz put a move on his guy off the ball there that fooled him so badly that Giffey's man on D had to chase Napier. As a result, nobody was there for Niels when he popped. That play was all Shabazz...kid is special. And nice to see Giffey make an open 3, he's been missing a lot of those lately.

Could be right Rico but looked very set to me because of the way Giffey slid out intentionally. Kind of hoping KO and the staff are seeing opportunities despite the overplaying of the Bazzster……no matter Bazz did make it happen and they need to use Bazz in those sets in order to get open looks from others. Bazz is special too no doubt……doesn't have a particularly good game but a double double nonetheless, now that's special

I think you're right; looked like Giffey was setting a pick as Shabazz ran by him (although he was facing the wrong direction lol).

Giffey's ability to move off the ball and find space has come light years.

Think about it. He's not someone who pops around screens, creates space to shoot the three, not an overly quick first step...but he finds that space really well.
