ND guards are reasonably quick. The rest of the crew not so much. So I was hoping we'd run them more than we did. Saw this article this AM with a Geno quote that gave me some insight. Here it is:
“It was hard for both teams to run any kind of offense because the defense on both ends of the floor was really, really tough. So you end up having to make a play because there is very little transition. There were so many possessions where it was such a grind that I’m not sure either team after the middle of the second quarter had enough energy to run in transition offense. So it became a bit of a struggle, and you don’t often get a lot of threes in a halfcourt game. A lot of them come in transition.”
