This team is amazing!

I know 'moral victory' is a phrase people don't like but it does exist. This team has a new coach/staff, new players, poor frontcourt, lost 4 good players, they are very young and learning how to play together and yet in their first BE game, gained so much respect that the league has to take notice.

It was a road game, hostile crowd and we could/should have won this game. Refs, Ollie and players did make mistakes this game (which is really why we lost) but everyone is still learning. UConn is a good not great team, but yet they are fun to watch. I am not disheartened by this loss, but encouraged and looking forward to the BE season.

We lost but I did see a victory in this game. The league, including the better teams, better not go to sleep on us. We are good!

This team has heart I dont know if I would use the word amazing. The 2011 team was amazing, the 99 team was amazing, the 04 team was amazing, and some of our other teams in the past. Having heart is good but you also have to be pretty good to be amazing, someday this team could be amazing.

They gave it their all. I was impressed how the team improved in the second half regarding interior defense. Wolfe can develop into a decent five for next season. DD was out much of the second half because his cut opened up. I actually liked the rotation of RB, SN, NG, DD and EW that KO utilized this game.

I think it's a combo distaste for men's bb having more notoriety than UConn's football team and his dislike for JC. Some of the dislike towards JC is because of the success but more because he felt JC could have selected players who had less character issues. The KO thing seems to be a grudge against JC that's a carry over.

The difficulty with free is that he is a smart guy who posts negatively without emotional charge. So it's hard to recognize the contempt he has toward JC. I just happen to recall his posts over the past several years that allow me to come to this conclusion.

They did battle back after being down 10 multiple times in the second half which is a big positive. Teams we had in the past (last year) may have just rolled over and a 10 point lead becomes 18 before you knew what hit you. But still, to quote a famous person "You play to WIN the game". This year is a tough one because of the post season ban so the losses dont really mean much. Because of that you could make the argument that all wins are just moral victories. I would love for the Big East to change their mind and allow us to play in the conference tournament but i think the most important thing for the remaining 17 games is to develop as many players we can, compete hard every game which hasnt been an issue yet, and build the bridge to 2013-2014.

I really do love this team, but *k moral victories. They were playing a mediocre Marquette team without their head coach, that couldn't buy a shot from the perimeter, and they gave the game away. New Mexico, N.C. State, and Marquette were all winnable games, all resulting in losses. The end of game execution/coaching has to be better.

How does it feel to be in the minority on this one? They played a mediocre team with a less than mediocre front line of their our own, we lost, they shot 41 FT's, they made a banker in OT, a prayer to put it there and they took a hoop away form our guys.....WTF can you do........not on anyone except maybe the man upstairs, I like what I saw and I hate losing!

We all have blind spots. Others see our flaws even as we feel we don't have any! And that includes those of us who are have a poor self image. But even people in this group miss things. Most of my observations about free are what he posts on the men's bb forum. Like you I spend most of my time here although I have read a lot of the CR threads. I just can't read things fast enough and time is limited. Now HFD is incredibly amazing. He posts everywhere and they are often quite long posts. IMO the guy's brain is hooked up to the computer. Check that, HFD is a computer talking to us humans.
