I think it would be a good idea if a Mullens played 20 min at 2 and 5-6 as back up 1

Do you mean Wagler? He is a CG, not to mention a much better player than Ball or Mullins who are pure SGs averaging less than 2 apg it’s a bad idea

I like getting Ross more minutes but mostly by taking them from Solo. It gives UConn more length and improves the team defensively.

We aren't changing the starting lineup at this point of the season. Absolutely not.

The main thing is that Hurley needs to trust his bench (at least the veterans). Ross and Malichi in particular need their minutes. Stewart too if he's healthy. Our depth should be an asset.

It is not so much the minutes but our offensive scheme. If opposing teams watch the film vs Marquette, we will struggle unless adjustments are made. Positions 1 thru 4 hover around the 3 point arc and 5 sits in the paint. What Marquette did was switch around the perimeter any time a screen was set. If we don't run ghost screens and slips(that is back doors) then we will not keep the defense honest. AK seems to be the only one to do this on a regular basis through out the season. The other perimeter players need to recognize this and do the same thing. You have to keep the defense on there toes.
I have noticed this through out the the season when our offense was stale.
Also, FEED THE BEAR! This will also keep the defense honest!
One more thing. SB and BM need to drive more. Now it only happens that SD and AK will do this. Unfortunately AK is not as athletic.
Bottom line, we need to be less robotic on offense and learn to create on our own.

Not gonna start a new thread over it, but I think Hurley should in the future have a secondary PG on the starting roster like Dre or Castle. Neither were good shooters but they were ball handlers that could get to the hoop and played defense. Creates more of a balance. The graph that shows Solo taking by far the most 3 pointers with the worst percentage also is a problem.

This is true and Hurley is not one to shake things up at this late point, he’s not Joey or John Gwynn. I don’t think he is likely to shoot that badly again but if he does, it’s early to the exits.
