Auriemma cutting Huskies some slack during exam week
“For the coaching staff, this is a really important recruiting time for us,” Auriemma said. “There’s a lot of tournaments going on around the country that we need to go to. … The players themselves need some time away from the game. I think mentally you get a little drained, more so mentally than physically. You add the exam part on, it’s a lot.
“We’re going to take a couple days off and re-charge. Practices will be short and sweet, and we’ll try to get a little bit better."
Danger couldn't remember what her 4th exam was! Funny kid. “That’s a problem. Oh, communications.”
“I think everybody could benefit from a break,” Dangerfield said. “But when we do come back, it’s [time to] get to work. We’ve got some big games coming up after that.”
