I was 11 years old when UConn won in ‘99. I grew up in CT so I obviously was aware of the team but was not a college basketball fan at the time and I don’t remember the run first hand. I got to UConn in the fall of ‘06 (immediately after George Mason) and that’s when I started following the program in earnest.

We’ve won three titles since then but this is the first time we’re THE favorite going into the tournament since I’ve been a fan and I don’t know how I should feel.

Excited? Nervous? It’s extremely weird not being the underdog…

I don’t like it. Everyone declaring us nearly unbeatable seems like a jinx.

Embrace it.

We're the evil empire.

Everyone hates our coach, our fans, the 'boring' state of Connecticut. The purposefully left out team in realignment.

Let's keep giving them reasons to laude and praise us, this is fun. This is what it's all about.

I believe 2006 was the last time we were the odds on betting favorite to win going into the tournament.

It's a long time coming...

Best UConn fan I know didn't go to UConn, he's been going to games for over 50 years and idea of all of this is madness. He just loved watching UConn and loved seeing them play really good teams at the Field House. He bought season tickets when the Civic Center opened because that's what you do as a UConn fan. He never even dreamed of one, now we're going for six.

Strap in, you're in the midst of our second incredible run. This one could be our best...

You know what's really really weird?

Since 1999, every time I have moved the UConn Men have won a NC.

1999 I moved to Portugal
2004 I moved to NYC
2011 I moved to Vietnam
2014 I moved to Thailand
2023 I moved to Spain
2024 ... I just moved from a rental into a purchased house. Let's hope that counts.

We are considered the favorite because the metrics support it. Numbers don’t lie. This team is incredible.

Just let us know after the season when you are starting to pack your bags. Great mojo!

Similar to me. I was living somewhere else every major run.

1999 -ct
2004 - Maine
2009 - China
2011 - ct but different house
2014 - Washington dc
2023 - serbia
2024 - same apart....uh, should I move too?

And we lost in OT in the Elite Eight in a true road game.

The polar opposite of our MSG experience

You can crash at my place - for the mojo!
