I know talk of the bubble sounds crazy with the talent on this roster, but with the way this team has played over the last three weeks, it isn't that far fetched. I even said it yesterday. If this team goes 6-6 down the stretch, which is very possible, at this point, I don't see how they are a tournament lock by any means. If Tennessee played half decently today they would have lost by 20 points. If Cincy didn't collapse down the stretch on Wednesday, that's a ten point loss as well. This is a really bad offensive team right now, and those of you who cried for a hanging at any mention of the 09-10 team may now be understanding the comparison. Major struggles on offense, no sense of urgency for most of the game, the best player isn't much of a leader, and generally not knowing what you are going to get on a nightly basis.
Now I'm not suggesting the fans should give up on the season, because this team still has the talent to put it together. It has become quite clear though, that at the moment, this is not a top 25 team, and doesn't have the offenseive firepower to take care of buisness night in and night out, and until they mangage to play with consistent intensity, it will remain that way.
