American sports will be globalized, too. Such as basketball. People behind gridiron football are being very aggressive in spreading the game. Places where soccer is already super popular are welcoming new games/sports. I mean, Europeans are now huge darts fans.

I do have to say, it's amusing that soccer interests upper middle class people here. They obviously want to identify as global citizens that badly. While in Europe, soccer is more popular amongst the poorer people. Nationalist interests heavily attached in their case.

Soccer is popular with almost all people in Europe. As far as team sports go, it is breakfast lunch and dinner.

Every little town in Europe seems to have “pro” club.

At least one... My village of about 2000 people has 2.
Soccer here is the crux of conversations regardless if age or class... It really is something that everyone can talk about, and disagree on!

I know there's one on Gibraltar. Red Imps FC. We can use some creativity like that in the MLS.
