So that would include UConn, Bama, Houston, Kansas, Creighton and Texas. Anyone else?

Creighton doesn’t meet final criteria.

So much the better.

(Still doomed.)

Bama, Houston, Kansas - 1 seeds
Texas - 2 seed
UConn - 4 seed

Pretty easy bet one of those teams wins it.

Texas is technically west of that line (Bama, Houston, Kansas, UConn). Past results are not a guarantee of future performance, aka we're doomed.

Houston, Purdue, and UConn fit this criteria. Arizona has the #36 defense, so they essentially make it as well.

All we have to do now is score more points than our six opponents

Factor in these four plus Gasaway’s Top 6 KenPom rule (17 of the last 20 national champs have been in the top 6 of KenPom the morning after Selection Sunday) and you get:

UConn, Alabama, Houston

So down to UConn and Houston? Works for me.

EDIT: for all the crap I give Houston for their conference they may be one of the few teams I really don't want to see, unless it's where UConn would get them. So glad UConn didn't get their region. Their guards put pressure on the ball like no other team in the tournament.
