Better talent wise from top to bottom and when everything was clicking they could probably look more dominant but 99 was probably the better team. They played incredibly well together with everyone knowing their roles. Jake was the best pick setter we ever had and a stout defender, Freeman was tough, Ricky was probably the best perimeter defender we ever had and the best defender in the country, Rip was the best scorer in the country, and El-Amin was that dude. That team had a very real chance at going undefeated if they didn't have the little Rip and Jake injury and they beat what was considered an all-time team in Duke.1999 is #17.
It's not a bad list BUT, the 2004 team was better than the 1999 team.
The injuries on the team that year which lead to the 6 losses are what prevented that team from being included on the list.1999 is #17.

Just tell that they don't have 98-99 Duke ranked higher. We are listed at #17 (98-99 team) No where else on the list.
Yup. When that team got healthy and caught its stride I thought it was easily one of the best 3 teams ive seen in my time watching college hoops (1990) and I still believe that. This may not be a popular opinion but 04` team that showed up in March beats `99 by 10. I think they also beat Dukes 90s squads but is a toss up with that 1990 UNLV squad and that UK 95? team. The injuries on the team that year which lead to the 6 losses are what prevented that team from being included on the list.
