I remember watching Marcus Easley's break out game from my brother's house in Massachusetts. The announcers initially credited Eric Sawicki for the TD. They both wore #29, but have one drastically different characteristic, noticeable even with their helmets on.

Incidentally, I love that college allows unorthodox numbering at many positions, but I hate the duplicates (I also would prefer no "0," but that's a discussion for another time.). IIRC, some single digit numbers go 3-deep. I can't stand that.
