I plugged the rankings from the committee, AP, Coaches, Sagarin, Massey, and RPI into the Vowelguy-4000 system, and here's the current rankings:

At least the VG-4000 rankings have Ohio State below Duke.... that makes much more sense than the AP and Coaches Poll. But USF is still ranked Head bang

:p

Nice job. I actually find this easier to defend/accept than any of the individual rankings.

I'd better stop... with my luck they would seed USF #6 and send them to Durham and end up knocking off my Blue Devils

I had the same thought run through my head just a minute before you posted it.

I like the fact that USF is ranked, being the AAC homer I am, but I myself wouldn't have them in my top 25 if I was voting. Top 30 maybe.

Ehh... That RPI is a crazy thing. For example... if you'd ask anyone who has the second highest RPI of all of the colleges from NC..... people would naturally assume NC State.

I think their ranking of Tennessee at #18 is accurate. Though they incurred seven losses, they have risen to the occasion to win some very big games. One has to acknowledge that they can defeat highly ranked teams.

can't buy into Maryland being 7th nor Washington ahead of Stanford( unless there was a timing issue with polls)

Yes the committee rankings were done before the game, but Sagarin (Wash #6 Stan 9) and Massey (W 7 S 9) were after the game.

Where should Maryland be?

The Terps resume is a loss to UConn and win over Louisville. 1 win over the RPI top 25.
Don't get me wrong, they're very good, but I think several teams could lose to UConn and beat Louisville.

If the committee makes MSST a one seed based on their RPI then they should make MD a 4 seed (#19 RPI #95 SOS) and put them in Miss St's region. Massey makes MD a one pt favorite on a neutral court.

Another case of RPI/SOS disfunction.
Notre Dame has the No 2 RPI and an SOS of 4. They have gone 4-2 vs Massey top 15.
Miss State has the No 4 RPI, an SOS of 23 and has gone 1-1 against Massey top 15.

Massey makes Notre Dame a 2 pt favorite.

Probably 3...like them better than ND, FSU , MSU and SC...yes they've had a relatively week schedule but by year end the two freshman, Slocum and Charles will be that much more experienced. Slocum is getting the headlines but this kid Charles reminds me of Tiff Hayes.
ps...they also have a win over top 25 ASU ( maybe not top 25 rpi)

Just switch FSU and SC and i would agree with your rankings. SC lost to 2 unranked teams and fsu only lost to 1.
