There are obviously many Great MOments, but what I remember was Moriah guarding an opponent about to make an in-bounds pass BEFORE the opponent got to the in-bounds point. Jefferson was playing even before the game was back on. Mo smiled in embarrassment at the move. Funny AND endearing. We may not see her like again.
That was against McBride in the 2014 title game with about 2+ left in the 1st half. Dee Kanter laughed and had to call off the little bulldog who was locked onto Kayla like a dog locks onto a bone. Of course Kayla then knocks down a 15 footer from the side with 3 Huskies on top of her.

Love her all-around game - great things do come in small packages!
With the exception of her TOs, Jefferson has started her senior season better than she has started any season to date - should she have another post Christmas surge, she might reach the stratosphere!
With the experience of these last 2 games under her belt, now more T.O's. Give a bit of credit to DePaul and ND for creating the defense that caused those T.O.'s. It has been really rare that Uconn ran into this kind of intense, small lineup defense!!

What is truly amazing about this young lady is her transformation. Jefferson has become an all around great player. The weakness in her game was her shooting and look how she has developed into a great shooter along with her other talents. That is not an easy thing to do when teams were leaving you wide open. That takes an amazing amount of hard work and confidence.

359 of the 360 Div 1 coached would love to have Moriah as a freshman, with "all" of her weaknesses!!
Baylor was drooling over her--and angry they didn't get her!! What ever did Geno see in a skinny young kid from Texas, with Weaknesses!! (Liked your posting, you love this kid as much as the rest of us do!!)

Another great MOment from the ECU game last spring: After a UConn basket, Mo dekes the inbounder and steals the inbound pass.:p

The play you describe happened in the Natty two years ago and the player MoJet was guarding at the time was Kayla McBride.

The Ter-MO-Nater goes well with MO-zzarella to make for a great caprese. And if you know mo, you can't spell scrape without caprese. Because Mo is scrappy...
