I would hope that given the nature of the weather forecasts in the area surrounding the airport in Hartford, ALL participating teams would plan to arrive a minimum of 2 days early to avoid any travel delays. Today is Friday. All of the teams should have arrived there yesterday.
I can't imagine the conference making allowances for a team that was scheduled to play on Saturday, because their flight(s) was canceled or delayed because of the weather. I'm sure the folks responsible for their team's "movements" are experienced and prepared for these types of situations, especially during this time of the year.
There may be a conference rule for teams traveling to other schools for road games. I don't know what it is. For example, in the NFL, the rule for traveling to an away game use to be (I don't know if the rule has changed or not), the visiting team had to be physically in town on Friday (for a Sunday game) by 5:00 pm local time.
Saturday at 5 pm for a Monday night game. The game referees had a similar travel time requirement too. The NBA has similar rules too.
Here on the shore 15 min. from the casino, I don't see why this storm should affect the tournament. This was a nice little storm, but not a show stopper. I am going tomorrow. I haven't heard any thing about travel problems. So see you at Mohegan Sun.
I was down at the Mohegan Sun today and saw some UCF and Cincinnati personal around. Also there were meeting rooms/buffets set up for Tulsa, Temple, Memphis, Cinci and I think a couple others.
