Guy has a real knack for making a point:

"MAKING A POINT: Geno Auriemma, who is serving a lead clinician, had Baylor center Kalani Brown run a sprint before the start of practice. He then ”offered” her his watch and a car if she could do the same sprint in under 10 seconds. She fell just short. Auriemma explained how players have two speeds they go at. The speed they want to play and the speed they need to play. When a ”prize” was on the line Brown went faster. Auriemma said that players need to go at that speed all the time."

Mucho Gracias Rocky

]Isn't there a Parable in the Bible about a turtle and the hare. Too bad her second try wasn't seconds faster than the first--

You believe what you see more than what you are told. Notice he didn't pick a Uconn kid!!

Geno has been running that same gag for like 25 years now. He got it from Bobby Knight.

Geno has stated often---he is not beyond taking from another coach that which works.
Thanks for remembering Bobby Knight--he fell out of favor, but he has been one of my Favorites.

Being Clinician gives Geno a chance to do what he does best---talk and teach.
