The Sniper's Quest for 1000 points

Christian Vital aka CV aka The Sniper passed 900 career points at UConn last night. He will reach 1000 soon which is pretty damn good for someone who was seen as strictly a reserve guard when he arrived at UConn. Sniper has gotten this far by a great self-belief, hard work, jacking 3's and shushing the haters (or the home-crowd). Keep Sniping, Sniper!

Averaging 12 a game on 44/39/79 splits and leading the team in rebounding at maybe 6'2". Has been and will continue to be a great player for us. Hope he gets to hoist a trophy or two before he graduates.

Gotta be real low. Maybe he gets the record for most threes attempted though lol. Last year was pretty rough.

He'll likely end up top 5, but #1 is tough.

Currently at 143 on his career (75 games with at least 20 left in the season). Rashad is first with 276 (130 games) and Shabazz second with 260 (143 games). Rip is fifth with 237.

For 3PFGA, Vital has 415. Rashad is first with 715 and Shabazz is second with 693.

Solid odds here, though it might be tough with Hurley's shorter leash and our deeper guard rotation. Vital is currently at 5 attempts per game, down from almost 7 per game last year

I mean it is a VERY outside shot ot 2k. Like if he averages 25 the rest of his career. It’d put him in 1st or second all time. If he continues with his average he’ll get 1000 in about 10 games or a little over half way through his junior year. However, he has not had the benefit of long tourney runs that guys like Kemba and Shabazz and Rip have.

Jalen is approaching 1,500 and has a very outside shot at 2,000.

Jalen needs to average about 24 a game on a run that takes us through a national title to crack 2000. If we do go on that type of run he’ll need to average 24! His overall point total is greatly injured by playing 2 NCAA tournament games in 3 years and we haven’t been since his freshman year.
