Her transition has been quick, with her natural confidence making her feel more comfortable in practices. She’s impressed her teammates with the fast pace she plays at, and her energy is apparent on the court. "

"It would appear that Williams has avoided the struggles of transitioning to college, but that isn’t the case. Practices are still hard, she said, but she’s eager to soak in all the knowledge she can and play up to expectations.

“Practice is hard,” Williams said. “It gets tough at times, but I look forward to it because you learn so much and coach [Auriemma] teaches you so much every day -- all the coaches on the coaching staff do. You learn so much, and you learn a lot from your teammates. So we just come in here every day and try to get better.”

Great news for UConn fans. All these kids talk about spending each day trying to get better. I am to the point where I just try to avoid getting worse!

I wish it was the "relentless freshMEN" meaning both Williams and ONO... I think ONO will be tremendous, but I think she has a large learning curve to go along with the necessary strength training etc...

Christyn is a more aggressive person, by nature, than Olivia, as Geno noted. He said Liv will take a little longer. I think she'll be our 6th "man" by February.

Personalities. Even for Geno it becomes near impossible to make kids what they aren't. But I lament with you what could be if by osmosis they may become.

Milford; CONFIDENCE--sometimes it comes from that installed by parent, teachers, coaches other times just by success (CW) in her chosen sport. Some like Moriah and Sue especially DT were born with that Gene. I say EGO: knowing you are the best, even when not performing at a superior level. KLS has it, Napheesa has it quietly, Danger has it. I think Walker had it and is working towards the return of "I got this". Should Oliva have 3 great games against top talent she shall move closer towards CW Confidence. Like you I have CONFIDENCE in their confidence.
