Bazz tripped getting the inbound RIGHT in front of the ref for a no call after some guy just hit free throws for getting looked at 40 ft from the play.

I rarely blame the refs but this is the most biased refing I've ever seen. Ollie needs to step up and take a T and tell refs to themselves

The refs were much less bad (which is not to say good) in the 2nd half. At half time, I was convinced that Pastner had given them all a B J or something.

Just left the game and the officiating was all you say and worse. They were in the double bonus with 6 minutes left in the 1st half and I'm pretty sure we never got there. They called something like 15 fouls on us. They called it more even in the 2nd half

I think AAC refs on average stink. I figured it would be that way. The best refs, by far, are in the NBA (despite what some people say). The ones in college are a big step down. And the AAC just isn't going to get the better ones in college. So it's going to be an issue and we'll just have to deal with it.

I coach a 5th-6th grade team and its laughable when I tell the kids not to complain about the refs. I've bit clean through my tongue on multiple occasions.

Why? Won't the conference pay for them? My understanding was officiating comes out of the conference budget -- so who you can hire depends on what you can pay.

Felt sorry for AB...Shaq Goodwin hooks him hard then bends over at the waist so it looks like AB is over his back...nothing AB could do about that as he does have nearly the strength to stop Goodwin from that move.

We got a few calls our way, too. In the 2nd half, TO got a big offensive rebound, then basically stumbled from flat-footed under the basket all the way out beyond the 3 point line only taking one or two dribbles.

Yeah but the first half was dreadful and for whatever reason was mostly negative to us…..good thing our depth is real good. Really hate talking about it but had to rant after the half, it was laughable they were so bad!

Same here (5-6th grade girls). And boy are those refs bad. Let one kid take five steps, and then call a travel on another for sliding a pivot foot while being scratched, pushed and hacked by two or three defenders. It's all we can do to keep these girls out of the hospital.

That one and the one before, where he stayed vertical and still got the foul, were pretty pathetic.

I replayed that. He traveled but he was also smacked hard in the face before he traveled.
