Coach Penders is always a fine interview subject, and this article is no exception. And to think in the 1990's, Penders became UConn baseball's first full time assistant baseball coach. It's amazing that it took so long for that to happen, a full time assistant coach. In that time with Penders on the coaching staff, UConn baseball has come a long way in a short amount of time, and still does have a ways to go, considering the need for a new baseball facility.
