This rant was in the Syracuse Post Standard:

“Not on that team,” Boeheim said. “He did what he can do. He played very well the final game. Everybody’s killing him but Tyson Chandler just didn’t try to catch the ball. He threw him the ball and Tyson Chandler went like this (Boeheim dodged in a chair in his office in the Carmelo K. Anthony Center). He was wide open. He should have been looking for the ball right here. Kenyon Martin should have been looking for the ball. They both went like this (Boeheim dodged again). Carmelo gets turnovers and the announcers aren’t smart enough to even think, ‘Well, the guy should try to catch the ball.’ “
Boeheim said the Knicks needed Anthony, Raymond Felton and J.R. Smith to play well every night to have a chance in almost any game this season.
“Those guys weren’t great players where they were and now they’re asking them to be second and third options,” Boeheim said. “In Miami the second and third options are Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. Your fourth option is Ray Allen, who is still in good shape. Your fifth option is Shane Battier, who is still a good player. The New York Knicks have who?”
“Tyson Chandler claims he never gets the ball. He doesn’t try to get the ball,” said Boeheim, who coached Chandler when he was a member of the 2012 United States Olympic team. “He had two points and Hibbert had (21). What was the difference in the series? Raymond Felton was 0-for-7. Lance Stephenson had (25) points. They’re going to blame it on Carmelo? I told him when he went to New York, they’re going to blame it on you.”
“They have no chance to win. (Knicks starter) Pablo Prigioni has never scored against (the U.S. team). We played Argentina six or seven times in different events. He hasn’t scored … against us. You have to have players to win in the NBA.”

I hate Carmelo Anthony as a Player. I don't have to root for him as I will never cheer for the Knickerbockers. I think Anthony had an exceptional year. NOT MVP though. And, I don't think he is ever going to lead a Team to a Championship in this Pro league. The Knicks are limited; we know that. But, IF I were Tyson Chandler or Stoudemire or Kenyon Martin ... I would be flabbergasted to see a pass (one where he wasn't in desperate straights) coming from Carmelo. When you saw the Pacers winning, you saw a well-orchestrated well-coached 5 man Team playing defense and offense well. Not something you'd see from the Knickerbockers ... nor in Central NY on most nights.

I'm all for a coach backing one of his former players but that rant makes Boeheim look like an idiot.

I agree it makes Jimmy look whiney and pathetic, but it's also true that Anthony is pretty much a ball hog. Maybe it's a function of the other players being unable to score, or not being talented enough, or whatever. But as Pudge pointed out, for whatever reason, the coaches for the Knicks allowed (or taught) the offense to be "give the ball to Anthony and stand around and watch to see if he can score".

It has indeed been a pleasure watching teams like Indiana and San Antonio who have much more movement on offense than the 1 man show type of teams like the Knicks...

PE- TOOWEY!!!!!! Retire already. He just gets worse every year -and even if the NCAA gives Quse a hall pass for the multiple violations coming their way why live through it?

I am not missing Quse one bit.

Boeheim's right when he says Carmelo "did what he can do". He scored bunch of points in a not very efficient manner while playing average/below average defense.

Maybe if he was given some actual coaching in college he would be able to do other things.
