I'm not sure how you can blame that on Nike when the company didn't exist when the team last wore the uniforms

these throwback jerseys are getting out of hand. unfortunately as long as some idiot fan will shell out $80 for their favorite player in this mess they'll keep selling them, and the world has no shortage of idiots

I guess I'm in the minority, but I love the NFL throwback jerseys, especially the weird and obnoxious ones. They add to the visual personality of the games.

i went to a Jets game a few years ago and they chose to wear their pretty terrible "Titans of New York" throwbacks. it was made all the more idiotic by the fact they were playing the actual Tennessee Titans. i guess it made any travelling Titans fans feel more at home, but as someone that wanted to cheer on the Jets i didn't have too many options

Wait, people are blaming Nike for this? Seriously?

The jerseys are modeled on the original jerseys worn by the franchise in 1934, when they were the Pittsburgh Pirates. The team is celebrating the 80th season this year and will be wearing them for two home games.

This wasn't a Nike decision, it was one made by the Steelers. Nike just designed the jerseys requested based on pictures from that season.
