If Uconn and Syracuse both win thier semi-final games tonight. That would make 4 years in a row with 2 teams from the Old Big East in the NC game. Before they broke up it was the best league in WCBB ever. Also 2 teams in FF every year since 2011 and 3 teams in 2013.

Now that we are out of the Big East, it will probably languish. The AAA will get better due to our presence. Just ask South Florida.

None of the teams that made the BE great are in the nBE. UConn is in the AAC, Rutgers is in the B1G, and ND, and UL are in the ACC. The BE is a mid major in women's hoops. There is no flagship like Nova is for the men.

Nova and DePaul were two of the teams that made the big east special. They were maybe not the top teams in the big east in the later years but they were some of the really tough teams to play year in and year out, and they consistently pushed Uconn. Ask DT what she thought of Villanova, or Maya what she thought of DePaul!
Syracuse - they were nothing in the old BE, they are only putting it together the last few years in the ACC.
