How quickly we forget that Harvey started the year 5-0 and even after getting knocked around last start has an ERA 0.8 better than Colon's. Then there's Jacob deGrom who has been a bonafide ace and no one seems to care lol.

Having said that, he's consistent, unflappable, and just generally hilarious to watch. He eats innings (among other things), fields his position well, and isn't an automatic strikeout at the plate anymore.

He'll be missed next year assuming he retires which I guess he doesn't really have to. I'd bring him back on a one year deal to be the 5 starter behind all the young guns next year. He could eat some innings while Wheeler finishes his rehab. 4 guys 27 or younger throwing 94-98 and a 43 year old Bartolo Colon. It's what dreams are made of.

If he comes back it would have to be at a big pay cut - no way cheapo Wilpons paying even 5.5 mill (50% of his current salary)

He'd probably only be worth about $4-5 million but someone would give it to him. Mets have no real need to as long as Harvey, deGrom, Thor and Matz are healthy. Especially if they can't move Niese.

Bucs are going to need a couple of starters for half a season or more until their kids (Taillon, Glasnow) come up. I'd love for Bucs to get Colon for 2016.
