It's like half as far. Albany is on the Hudson, it's east. It's not near Syracuse or Rochester or Buffalo.

I wasn't sure he was being serious. I've never been to Albany, but it's about as far from Springfield MA as Boston is.

I was being serious, but I'm a little ashamed. I generally consider my knowledge of geography to be pretty good. I guess my brain just classified anything that's in New York state but not in the vicinity of NYC as "approximately as far away as Toronto."
