The Next Big East Media Deal

We are getting close to the Big East negotiating the next TV media deal. How much can Big East get per school with the next deal? Any update on the TV ratings for the just completed Big East tournament?

One of the comments of the article stated Big East should go for $10M to $11M per school in the next deal, is that possible? UCONN certainly can use the money.

So they need to start at 17 mill. Negotiate down to 11ish. But will they have any leverage? Please not exclusive on Sling TV. Fox it is.

The BE has been studying expansion to 12 teams in an effort to grow TV revenues.
But the problem is which new school would have enough appeal to grow the additional profits needed to justify expansion.

The league needs to decide if it will expand before the new TV deal is negotiated.
Gonzaga is one school that may meet the criterion, but being located on the west coast is a serious obstacle.

I'd be shocked if BE gets 10-11M for school for essentially basketball only. But rights fees have been on the rise again.
