Anybody who thinks the Lynx would be where they are today without Crystal running the point hasn't been watching. She is clearly the motor behind their offense, playing with confidence and leadership - Reeve's floor general. When she's sitting the rhythm and flow of the the offense just isn't happening. She looks like a veteran out there night after night. As I've mentioned in other threads she has found the perfect match with the Lynx. Love watching the chemistry between she and Pheesa, several times this season connecting to put their team on their shoulders during rough stretches. It's a great time to be a Lynx fan and watch two of our own thrive at the next level.
Her ”consistent“ stellar play this season compromises Odessey Sims‘ roster spot. A fear that older veteran players have because of uber talented rookies coming into the league every year trying to take there jobs.
Crystal has clearly grabbed the reigns of the starting point guard on the Lynx. Sims has not been missed so far this season. Anytime the rhythm and flow is disrupted when you leave the game, that speaks volumes about your impact on the team. Theres good mojo on the floor for the Lynx when Dangerfield is at the controls.
I don't know who came in when Danger picked up her second foul in the first quarter, but it wasn't Sims. With that said, the rhythm and flow was definitely disrupted. The ball movement wasn't the same.
Don’t think HC Reeve didn’t take notice.
