My favorite place to go pre-MSG is a little basement Korean joint called Chicken and Hof.

Their chicken wings (Korean style) are really good and only 50cents. I think the pitchers of beer are only $10!

It's not a sports bar and they only have one tv (I think it's always on espn), but if you don't feel like dealing with a loud bar with no seats, this place can't be beat. It's just a 5 minute walk to msg

When I used to go there it was almost all Koreans in their 20s, but it has changed a little.

Brisket at Brother Jimmies is awesome. Lotsa TVs. Believe it's at 8th and 31st.

We always just went to the Blarney Stone somewhere near by. One guy on our bus was so cocked he fell asleep there before the game. They just said to stick him in the corner and pick him up after the game.

+1 on the Blarney Stone. Favorite place to go during the Big East tourney, although its historically a Syracuse bar. Must get the corned beef sandwich if you do go there

Tir Na Nog is right near MSG. Not really a "sports" bar, but a good environment nontheless

This list gets recycled every year, and every year I point out that Park Avenue Country Club has been closed for 10 years. And every year, someone else before me points out that ESPN Zone has been closed for at least 5 years.

Pick one of the Blarneys (Stone or Rock), and you won't go wrong.
