Klay Thompson bringing efficiency into focus. Here are @ncaawbb most efficient scorers based on points per shot.

Always a good reality check on top scores. Got me curious:
Napheesa: 1.583 19.0
Molly: 1.56 (total of 9 shots) 2.0
Lou: 1.473 19.1
Kia: 1.470 13.9
Saniya: 1.42 4.9
Gabby: 1.241 10.3
Crystal: 1.10 7.5
Natalie: 1.07 4.4
Kyla: 0.7 (total of 10 shots) 1.2
Tierney: NA (total of 2 shots, 0 points) 0.0

Impressive that we do not have a single player playing more than 8 minutes a game scoring less than than their shots per game (1.0) - The team is at 1.370 and our opponents are at 0.902. Gabby should be a little more efficient, but she seems to be concentrating on assists more than scoring at the moment.

Plum at 1.599 @29.7 per game is really impressive - often the top scores are a lot less efficient. I suspect Its and 3ptr shots are her 'equalizer'.

ND: 1.280 vs. 0.964
Baylor: 1.325 vs. 0.890
SC: 1.350 vs. 0.934
MD: 1.333 vs. 0.912
TN: 1.138 vs. 0.912

Early days and schedules have varied wildly in strength but still interesting comparison.

Klay had a mere 60 last night. When he gets hot, he is insanely hot. I believe he had 37 in a quarter a couple of years ago.
