Great story. Too many people fear getting out of the mold they think they've been cast into because of the unknown issues they'll face. He did it much to his own betterment. Hallelujah.

Don't know anything about the guy who wrote the story but this was a very good read. Sounds like Casey has found himself a unique and rewarding career. I see a yacht in his future.

Good read. It's worth reading on few levels. It's always good catch up on the guys who played here. It's an interesting take on life after football. Always like reading struggle/ journey stories. And it touches upon a life in the trades, at pretty basic level, rather than in a service industry.

UConn is barely mentioned and it's not cast in a negative light in the least.

It's a great read. I recall posters who were happy he was still a part of the program and later hooked up with the UConn broadcasts so he could be close to the game he loved (paraphrased interpretation). In reality his heart really wasn't into it and was really only around the game because he thought that's what others thought he should do.

I'm not sure the two events are connected, but it might be interesting to note that his father sold The Recovery Room around the same time Cochran started working at The Seaport.
