Of course, there were specific plays that were big - Brimah's putback, a couple big Giff threes in the corner, Kromah's offensive rebound and foul shots, Bazz's pullup jumper against MSU to stretch the lead to four. And I'll probably always remember Boat dribbling out of the pack with the ball at the end of the Kentucky game as the moment we sealed it.
Now that a couple weeks have gone by, there are a couple visuals that seem to hang with me more than others, since there were multiple examples of them. There's Bazz dribbling right at his defender, staring him in the eye and knocking down threes in key spots - he did it to a few times to Nova, a few times to Michigan State, and then right in the eye of one of the Harrison twins after they cut it to one. The second is Boat contorting himself in the lane - not so much the making of the basket, but just how quick he gets up off the floor and sprints back on defense. He did it several times in the tournament, but one example is here at 1:25 in UConn's highlight video. It kind of serves as both a symbol of Boat's personal maturation, and the team's refusal to be outworked (there's also a sequence of both Boat and Bazz harassing Wilbekin into turnovers and bricks).
