Offense was much better in the 2nd half. After a tough first half they ended up 50% overall and 40% from three. I'll take that any game. It was the defense that was horrendous today.

Creighton was about shooting. This one was more about defensive breakdowns, getting out-rebounded, not taking care of the ball, losing 50/50 balls, getting pushed around in the paint. They got out-toughed, which should never, ever happen to a coach and team that hang their hats on the lunchpail thing even when they can’t throw the ball in the ocean. Inexcusable.

To me the difference is that Villanova is a much better team than UConn. Creighton, on the other hand, is terrible, and UConn should have wiped their home floor with them.
