Yeah, I wasn't sure if he meant it like "the game is more wide open now, and I'm going to adapt so that we can play that way" or "the game is more wide open now, and we know we're going to be going against the grain".
His offense at Maryland was already a lot more opened up than some of his later ground and pound teams at UCONN. I watched a decent amount of Maryland and they ran a lot of spread/read option stuff, especially when they had a quick QB in Brown.
