They finished second to Syracuse, who led the nation in home attendance for the first time since 2005 with an average of 26,253 fans.

They went that long without leading the nation in attendance? I assumed they did it every year.

I cannot stand Cuse as much as anyone, but in absolutely no way is this something we can disparage them on. We don't fill our stadium that is 1/4 the size.

Their lack of any tangible success? Let's destroy them all day. Their dedication in BUYING TICKETS? This is an impressive feat and there are no two ways about it. I would bet these numbers are not simply inflated by their huge stadium, but they fill their stadium to near capacity in a high majority of games (remember, they only open certain seats for their biggest games).

Mathematically, barely. Their average with Duke was 26,253 and without was 25,998 {[(26,523*18) - 35,445] *17} for a whopping difference of 255 to the mean. They beat Kentucky even without the Duke.

I get hating Cuse and I despise them, too, but anyone who tries to spin this negatively is an idiot. Simply just being an idiot.

Cuse does have the huge dome. I am not surprised. I will say that the dome seems to have an affect on recruits especially when visiting.

The dome is right there where the city population and university is. So Hartford does not have the students and Storrs doesn't have the fans nearby. Convenience is a big thing. It's dogs and oranges.

I know it's the off season and I have enjoyed the Quse threads but commenting on everything "Quse" does make it seem like some have an obsession with them.

I don't care who Quse plays during cupcake time. In fact I do not care period. I will watch Quse games when they are on the tv and route against them as always.
Their fan base is excellent and does support their team in a major way ( the biggest wankers seem to be on their board)-the Quse fans I know don't like us but are great basketball fans.
