After everything the Huskies have gone through, it would be incredible if they could win number eight. All the hard work, the perseverance paid off tonight. Whenever ND got close, UConn had an answer. This win was a total team effort. Breanna, Kaleena, Kelly, Bria, Morgan, MoJeff, Caroline. Last but not least, Stef who played her heart out with two bad wheels. You can see there are plays she just can't make because of her limited mobility. Her determination wasn't limited. We need to guard the three. No double teaming. Straight up man to man defense. If we play with the same aggressive attitude that we played with last night - it is 12:02 a.m. - the fight for eight will be over, and we will be tied for the most National Championships in the history of women's basketball and the favorites to win number nine next year.

Amen!!!!!!!!!! I think that UConn will win number eight on Tuesday because I think they'll definitely bring the same energy into that game and with their defensive prowess, it should be curtains for Louisville. I don't think you'll find Louisville shooting lights out from the 3 point line with Huskies in their face. As you mentioned, I had a moment (or two) of anxiety when the lead was cut down to six points but you saw the Huskies really batten the hatches and ride out the storm, upping the lead to double digits by playing heady basketball. Impressive indeed!

Just ask MoJeff as she cupped her hand over Skylar's eyes while standing behind her. Got a chuckle out of that, as did the announcers!

Nothing is guaranteed, of course, but as well as Louisvillr is playing, I think UConn has been playing a cut above the field. The team, not playing on all cylinders, I think beat themselves against ND 3 times and played Baylor even. UConn is playing on all.cylinders, I mean in a team sense, despite SD being slowed. The diffetence is the frosh and Bria. I think we win by double digits. I also think it doesn't hurt that we aren't looking at Griner, and I appreciate Ville for that.
