1. Those were some ugly foul shots ajax chucked at the rim to start the game. Didn't give me a great feeling. Last game, he started with a flourish and was on fire for the first half. He never seems to do well off a bad start.
2. Three minutes in, and I already hate the refs. Ajax gets called for an offensive foul for bumping Kolek on the drive. On the ensuing possession, Kolek drove in shoulder first and bumped Ajax much harder. No call.
3. Clingan seems to be on his game much more so than last night.
4. Sean Jones should be called for a foul on every defensive possession. He pokes/slaps at the ball constantly, and 90% of the time hits the offensive player's wrist or hand.
5. JoeyC trying to make plays that just aren't in his wheelhouse.
6. Karaban likes that corner jumper at the end of the half.
7. Tied at the half.
8. Bad start to the second half. Down six in no time.
9. Marquette's tight and 'handsy' defense on the perimeter is making us take way too long to get any offensive push. Every possession seems to start with 15 seconds of playing keep away.
10. Down double digits with 14:45 left. Not a good place to be.
11. Hurley time out lights a fire under our guys, and 3-1/2 minutes later, we've got the deficit down to four. Can we keep it going after the TV timeout?
