The one thing all the new commits and verbals have in common. Is the desire to aspire to become the best. You hear it in the interviews and read about it in the media. They've chosen Geno, because he's the best coach in WCBB at developing consistency in players and making them even better then they imagined. Those who want it, its here. It takes work trust and discipline to reach your goals. It takes dedication and commitment to keep on moving forward even though you have doubts when your going through it. Geno knows what it takes and he knows what to do to fine tune and tweak kids to help them reach their full potential. Its a journey to change and learn the right way to get the job done. They kids that come here have that desire. They want it and because of that theyre coachable. So why is UConn so much better then other teams and consistently improving and setting record after record. Why has UConn stayed at the top of WCBB for so long? You got it. Geno never quits and never gives into a player who can not meet the criteria that he is looking for in a player. Hey there are alot of really good players out there. Its whats inside that player that Geno can make them great. These kids come to UConn because they want to be great and most importantly they are willing to change and make adjustments to get better. Its not about where you are, its about what you want to become. Well reading through the treads and posts UConn is in great shape for the next 5-6 years and Geno isnt finished yet with his recruiting. Thats a scary thought. Just think over the next few years how many more kids will commit to UConn and how much better UConn will become. The pieces of the puzzle look really good right now. The future is gonna be un-be-liv-able. UConn is notw in positon to to attract a few great players for the next few recruiting classes. The great ones see it and the potentcial to win National Championships and set records all over again is there for those who want it. The question Ive read alot about lately is when will Geno retire. Well Geno is in a positon with his staff where he can delegate and have more time for himself. I dont think he will retire for quite some time. Your working a sport that is basically a winter job with summers less impactful on your social life. The day will come but I think we have alot more time to enjoy what he's built for a few more seasons. You know whats really unique....UConn continues to set goals to break the records theyve already set. Aint that somthin. Where are we going....we're going to the VERY Top....all over again
