Check the demographics of the students who voted - are they in-state or out of state and if so from where? I am sure voting was driven as much by that as anything. Bottom line though is that conducting such votes is a fool's errand. It means nothing because you kind of have to go where you are asked.

Also the poll is "What conference is ideal for UConn" not which one is more likely to expand first and throw us a life preserver (invite) first. Ideally the B1G and ACC make more sense but if the Big 12 invites you say yes before they finish the question.

Right, but the insane thing is the 67 people who said the AAC. There is no measure by which the AAC is the ideal conference for UConn. Is it the best option at the moment? Sure. But I could make a better argument that the Big East is ideal than the AAC.

It's not, to be clear. The Big East is not the ideal conference for UConn.

Or a new norm is setting in where all these kids know is the AAC as our Big East glory days fade further into the past.

Well it's only been three years. The new college generation today may not remember Darius Rice at the buzzer or that VA Tech was always an auto win on the conference schedule, but they remember being in the Big East.

I'm with HFD
Keeping the B1G hope alive
How many ACC football games actually get the adrenal flowing in the State?
A bad Michigan team came to CT at the depths of its football woes and it was the most anticipated college football game since the heyday of Yale
The ACC offers better BB match ups but the B1G isn't too shabby either

Results have changed since the initial post of this thread. People with more sense have been voting.

B1G - 41% (152)
ACC - 24% (90)
AAC - 20% (73)
Big 12 - 8% (29)
Big East - 7% (24)

That means a total of 97 (73+24) people now need to be slapped upside the head.

I have to believe that many of those AAC numbers area mistake...people thought it was ACC.

When the two options are next to each other? This can't be more difficult than the damn SAT.

Next to each other adds confusion. I am sure more kids spent 5 seconds reading this and assumed that the AAC wouldn't even be listed. I assumed that and saw AAC as ACC at first too.
