To the 17,000 or so fans who stayed home tonight: please make some G-D plans to get to the Rent for our game against Houston. If we beat Tulane, that will put us at 5 wins. If you have ever complained about the AAC in your lifetime, then it's put up or shut up time. Get to the GD Rent.

It was a poor turnout. I was there but as a Met fan also I was torn. Ultimately I decided I only have 2 games left to watch my huskies and went. If they could win the next game maybe we get a decent crowd for the last game.

An occasional reality check that performance matters is okay.

Yes it's college and this team has improved, but it's perfectly okay for an occasional buck the duck up before I throw dollars your way turnout.

Sometimes and external reality check is needed to improve internal processes and more importantly results.

Team showed intestinal fortitude (Onions) by overcoming adversity and showing intrinsic GAF*. That is a reflection on the staff's ability to motivate and coach the players on days outside of game day.

GAF= Give a duck.

The team was pumped up all night - dancing around on the sidelines & seemed loose and having a good time. Played their best game in about 3 years I think. The fans that showed were fine - it's too bad we only got 23K. (There aren't that many Met fans in CT, are there?) Disappointing. They missed a great effort by the home team.

I'm willing to bet that there are a lot of Husky fans from Fairfield county who are also fans of the denizens of Citi Field. I will cut them some slack this time only. (World Series, traveling to the Rent during rush hour, Halloween eve). Jeez, how often do the Amazins get this far, And they were down 2-zip before last night's contest?

CT fans suck blah blah blah. I would like to see the turnout some of these SEC schools would get if it was 40-45 degrees by halftime and their team had the last 5 years our team had.

How serious are you? Baylor, UT, UW and even Stanford stadiums are packed even when they are 0-5. It's Saturday and we are playing at home- of course you go to the game. That is the difference between FB schools and others. It's a shameful call that your school is playing a must win game and you stay at home because they lost 2 games in a row- and 2 games few had expected them to win.

I get all the excuses, I do really. But it kind of reminds me of the children's book, The Little Red Hen; no one willing to put the work in till the product is finished. Spoiled, entitled, fair weather, all fair descriptors in my opinion.

Baylor was in the low-mid 30's prior to and in the beginning of the Briles years. Stanford was in the low 40s when they were 1-11. Washington had over 12,000 empty seats per game when they had a single sub 500 year (not the year of the renovation).

Lol. Remember that packed stadium in Waco when we played there in 09? Me neither.

More stupid is your Stanford reference who doesn't pack their stadium like ever. 2 years ago the PAC 12 title game with a Rose Bowl birth on the line. 30k.

I'm done worrying about who doesn't come or what they do when they do come.

Some of you were expecting 15k/game. We have averaged 28k (maybe that's tickets and not gate but whatever). The fact that we could have a strong showing for Houston if we are 6-5 or 5-6 means we will finish off in far better shape than most expected. And with momentum for next year. No way the season ticket count goes down next year.

It's what made the use loss so frustrating. We got the crowd back, esp the students. We have to earn the non- die hardship back, and we can only do that with wins.

The most complete effort in years and we have the following threads the day after:

The crowd sucked

BS is inaccurate

Palatine is an idiot

People taking childish swipes at posters who've knocked Diaco

No wonder we can't have nice things.

This years sells next years tickets. Ending well, sells next year. I know that sounds like front running, it is. But it is the reality that UCONN is still Building a fan base. The folks, and I am one, who go to the games now, are not the targeted market. The stay at homes are.

I got bombed at the tailgate beforehand then had a good time. Even if you hate football join me in drinking excessive amounts of alcohol, how can you turn that down.

Not sure it is a CT problem but a problem in general around most (not all ) college football teams. Watching the NCState vs Clemson game. Mid 3rd quarter NCSTATE just cuts it to 6pts and announcer wondering why so many people have left game. If Clemson pulls away there will be nobody in stadium by mid 4th quarter
