This is it, the final matchup as voted on by you. Get those votes in. Will go final right around when the new NCAA Champion will be crowned.

I guess everyone was outside today enjoying the nice weather instead of voting in this thread to crown the greatest movie of all-time!

I'm more than a little shocked by Shawshank's flaccid showing thus far.

Shawshank's a lovable movie that is almost perfectly executed. But ultimately it is short story turned into cinema.

With slight reactions, I offer verbatim one of two handwritten notes contained in my copy of Stephen King's "Different Seasons":

Dear [ ],

I'm enclosing the gift of a Stephen King book which contains a 95 page story I'd very much like you to read. The story, "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption" is set in prison from the viewpoint of a long-time convict. In it, Stephen King displays some extraordinary insight about the effect of long incarceration on the psyche of a prisoner.

I believe it will give you a different view and more understanding about what's going on for me. It's not long and Stephen King is a marvelous storyteller, so I think you'll enjoy it.

Sincerely,
[ ]

I can't wait to read the personal forward on your copy of Mario Puzo's book!

Seriously, gets booted to entertainment the day it’ll go final?

Damn it!!! Guess I should stop by here more often! Apparently we had 83 original entries and at least a couple of my faves of all time did not even make the list without my votes.

It ran on the front page of the MBBall board the whole time. They only just moved this one here for some reason.

Sadly, I probably check this forum more often than MBB of late.
